Maya Abee - Divine Cassette

On March 11th, LA-based musician Maya Abee will self release her EP Divine. Utilizing the vocabulary from folk, 90’s post-punk, and dream pop – Abee creates a dream-folk language. Her songwriting is intimate, confessional and often explores the liminal, nonlinear, intricacies of growing up. The 23 year-old takes inspiration from her hometown, Los Angeles — the backdrop of urban highways and not-so-cold winters decorate the stage she sets. The EP, totalling 5 songs, came to be through collaboration with LA-based ambient musician and producer Corey Gordon, and features dreamy vocals supported by brilliant synthesizer, delicate field recordings, and electric guitar textures.
